What We Do - Evaluation We specialise in the evaluation of building materials, in particular dimension (building) stone and related products such as mortar, concrete and coatings. Investigation We determine the cause of failure of raw materials and finished products by determining its properties and by investigating its performance and behaviour in service. The information gained is used to settle cases of litigation or to minimise the risk of future failure. Consulting Our consultancy service assists clients in developing suitable quality control programs that will ensure products are “fit for purpose”. We also provide testing and consulting expertise to assist in the restoration and preservation of historic buildings. Working for You Stone Initiatives has a distinct Asia-Pacific focus; we work with and for local and international clients from Ballarat to Beijing and Sydney to San Francisco.
